I am looking to a humidor and some cigars for my fiance for Christmas. I dont really know any brands that he likes because he doesn’t smoke a whole lot knowing that I dont really like it. So I am trying to find some well known good brands that arent going to cost me a fortune. I know nothing about cigars…
romeo and julliet
yeah I love to smoke Cohiba’s, a bigger one is like 15 dollers, and a smaller one is like 9 bucks.
They are great!
My man smokes one every now & then outside. I can’t be around the smoke. He loves the Grenadiers & they are very affordable. I buy him some on special occaions & am planning on buying him another humidor for this Christmas as he lost his in a fire last year.
Maybe you could get a mutual friend to find out what kind he smokes or maybe just casually bring it up in conversation to find out what kind he likes. Here is a site you might want to check out just to maybe get some ideas.
First of all there are not good brands of cigars. Nor there are good cigars. Tobacco is used to make pesticides ( Poison
to humans to ). There are so many poisonous-carcinogenic
substances in tobacco that it is interesting to observe humans
who are using it. Knowingly killing themselves. It is interesting.
Buy Your fiance something else. Not poison.
And yes I have been smoker for many years.
Not smoking for six years.
Macanudos shorts and cohibas are great. Any local cigar shop can help you with that. If your fiance is the one who doesnt smoke a lot then dont be afraid to spend a little extra on a couple of cigars. But for sure no cigar is worth more than 100 bucks (my opinion) but 25 to 30 for someone who really enjoys a cigar is good. I agree with the other guys, romeo and juliet, cohibas, and other cigars are great.
If he is an occaisional smoker, he probably goes for lighter style cigars. I ‘d suggest Arturo Fuente, Macanudo, maybe Monte Cristo (I’m talking US brands, don’t buy Cohibas in the US, they are crap).
Good sight to buy from is JR cigars.
If you are outside the US, look for good cuban cigars, here the Cohibas are good, Monte Cristo, Punch or Partagas.
And you might as well get him some nice scotch to go with the cigars, I prefer Islay single malts, like Lafraiog and Ardbeg.
And good cigars make a very nice christmas gift, good idea!
CAO Gold is a very tasty, reasonably proced cigar. At the store I work in, they run $4.55-6.50, depending on the size. For an occasional smoker, they have very good flavor and smoothness.
