Rocky Mountain Cigar Fest hits Boulder Sunday

Cigar Mile Day
Feeling fresh, fit and dangerous returning from a 10-day horseplaying hiatus for today’s Cigar Mile card at Aqueduct, a 10-race affair starting at noon, with the G2 Demoiselle, G2 Remsen, G1 Gazelle and G1 Cigar Mile slated to be run as races 6 through 9 starting at 2:15 pm ET.

HORSE RACING: Haynesfield Close, but no cigar
Saturday’s four graded stakes at Aqueduct — the Grade 1 Cigar Mile and Gazelle Stakes and a pair of Grade 2’s for 2-year-olds, the Remsen and Demoiselle — highlighted the last major weekend of racing in New York this year. The Queens County Handicap (Dec. 11) will be the closing scored race of 2010, with the next New York scored events not planned until March 6.
