Iv had some gigs in clubs and discos were the place is full of smoke and cigar. I avoid all smoke because I dont decire to start smoking and dont want any of my stuff to smell like smoke. Should I leave the instrument out of its bag and wait?

Without you telling us what kind of instrument you are referring to, it is difficult to give tips on how to help you.
Tough one. Especially since you didn’t include the music intrument! Brass and wood are different like… I dunno, brass and wood.
I know where you’re coming from, I have a gig bag of guitar effect pedals and cables etc, that smells like all the roadhouses we used to play…P.U.
I had a friend who had a musty mildewy smell in a vintage guitar, and he was told to put a tea bag inside.
Now his guitar smells like Orange Pekoe.
But maybe you’ll like that better than stale cigar.
