Hmm, good question, but then they make small cigars and big cigars, right? The standard cigar used to be made from ONE tobacco leaf, rolled up. So depending on how many leaves the average plant has, that will tell you how many cigars – Double that or triple that for the small cigars.
One plant produces approx. 100g of tobacco. According to the ACS (American Cancer Society) Large cigars typically contain between 5 and 17g of tobacco. At the rate of 5g per cigar, you could produce 50 from a single plant.
