Couldnt they have figured this out before taking me on tour, introducing everyone and dangling a beautiful salary in front of me?? Why should I learn another country’s language before learning my own heritage’s language? I have worked very hard and I get duped this way? This is an ENGLISH speaking country. Oh and heres the best part “They’ll keep my resume on the top in future position openings.” When will that happen 2008? 2020?? How can I get all psyched up for my next interviews when I got this far and no cigar???
I think you need to start learning espanol (spanish). This is 2006 its the modern economy. Your future customers are from all over. I need to start learning Japanese for my job. There are people in America from other countries that speak a lot of languages. Your not special. Make yourself special.
It does stink, but chalk it up to good interview practice. That’s always good to have.
I understand your frustration — but look at what you got exposed to. There will be many jobs in your life that you don’t get and there will be many jobs that you DO get. Take something from every experience that you can learn from. That’s how you build up a great rewarding career.
There will be another job that you get. Keep at it. Lots of people don’t even get off their butts to go after jobs like that. If you work hard, believe me you will be rewarded at some point.
